The Kishigawa Line is a railway line in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. It is the sole line of the Wakayama Electric Railway Co., Ltd. The 14.3 km route extends from Wakayama Station in the city of Wakayama to Kishi Station in neighbouring Kinokawa.
The Kishigawa Line operates unique themed trains, with the most well-known being the cat-themed “Tama Train”.
The Kishigawa Line is also famous for stations that have calico cats as station masters.
The Tama Train is named after Tama, the calico cat that became the railway station master and operating officer at Kishi Station.
